- Nelson Mandela
The circus is full of talents of all types and sizes... Lion tamers, elephant riders, fire blowers, ribbon dancers, acrobats, sword swallowers- you name it the circus has it. I've been thinking lately about talents. I really believe that life is like a circus. Ok- maybe we aren't walking around trying to get our pet lions to jump through a ring of fire- BUT- we ALL have talents. Talents are cool. Some people can paint gorgeous photos of the earth. some one else can create a robot that can say the alphabet backwards. Maybe someone else could eat 5 whole pizzas with out flinching. All in all- people are amazing. We are all so blessed with talents- and all of our talents can be used for good. So maybe you think your talents aren't super huge ones like making rockets that go to the moon or curing a disease- BUT- that smile that your really good at making could change the life of another person. Never underestimate your abilities.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us: it's in everyone. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Nelson Mandela
So- don't let anything hold you back. Use your talents. Change the world. Remember you are a child of God. And he loves you. Be you- be the best you out there- Life is a circus- join the fun and help others realize the light that is within them.
